Premier, please, nobody can help you in your quest to throw out some magic "number" that OXHP is worth at this time. Didn't you hear? The company's computer systems haven't been working quite right for about 18 months or so. Any number would be based upon nothing but guessing. I'll make you feel better, anyway. I say it's worth 30!! There, you feel better?? 30 what? Oh, I'm not saying, I just thought you would feel better if I said it was worth 30.
Good doctor, I appreciate your analysis of the benefit to Oxford shareholders of AET's possible purchase of the NY Life operation. Gee, if you hadn't said so, I might have thought that this was a competitor beefing up in the area to more effectively compete against the hollow shell of what was once Oxford. This strategy is far more appealing to AET than a purchase of OXHP. Why not just keep to your knitting, and be prepared to aggressively pursue disgruntled Oxford members as open enrollment 1999 approaches? Any of you think of buying Aetna, who stands to be a huge beneficiary of Oxford's implosion? No, that would be too easy.
Finally, I think we should not underestimate the culture that Steve Wiggins created at OXHP, the spirit that drove the company on their highflying journey, and the negative impact on the trench workers his disgrace and departure are having. Please tell me why we have such faith that Payson can pull off this task? Anyone have reasonable evidence of his management capabilities in a turnaround nuts and bolts operational role?? Please?? Have a nice evening.

Premier- thanks for the invitation, but would not want to speculate at this time. The real issue is the potential 12 months out.
Among other differences is Oxford's "premier" position in the NY marketplace (Premier, no pun intended/ Raptor this is your leadin <G>).
