Hi Ralph & Tom,
Yes ,I must say I find myself feeling a little spooked from time to time
about some of my holdings. TASA, traded thinly and followed by few
is rightfully viewed with caution. Trying to sift through what is
available in public filings does however net a few general observations.

There is a shifting of their revenue base away from contract sources.
The New York contract alone represented 51% of contract rev. and
9% of the company rev. for 97. I would venture that an emphasis on
other diverse streams of revenue could yield a desired independence
from such relationships. A good thing , yes?

Regarding (other diverse revenue streams) there are positive results
from intensified sales efforts. Catalog sales of "shelf tests and
associated products" has shown much improvement. Addition of new
customers has increased from 149 in 94, to 273 in 95, and 318 in 96.
I think continued results along these lines will demonstrate the kind
of growth that supports shareholder confidence.

As for more acquisitions, you're right, depending on the property, the
street sentiment might easily go either way. Lets say this, with the
recent acquisitions behind them and price related listing issues
before us, I would imagine such surprises would not be very prudent
for now.
