Greg you are the first in over 30 years to call me a liberal, and if close associates were to read your post they would laugh with glee. sounds like you still believe in the tooth fairy and such. Ever hear of terms like slamming? Ever attempt to make a long distance telephone call from outside your home state without a phone card, ever try and charge a third person call from a remote location. Ever accept a collect long distance call only to find out several weeks later that it was place thru several different carriers that each tacked on a 100% cost. Ever try and explain to an elderly person how their phone charges were calculated? It doesn't sound like it. Competition is supposed to encourage increased technology advancements and from my perspective that has not happened. Have you actually worked in these situations or just passing on hearsay? Greg our phone service is not getting better, not by along shot. The telephone industry has gone steadily down hill since Judge Greens land mark decision. Just my humble opinion of course.
