I thought the networking guys would seem too hardware-esque. When 3com/usrx came out I heard the term "Two drunks propping each other up." The problem with these failed mergers is that the one time R&D charges are so liberal, they can hide 4 to 6 quarters of mismanagement and pay the appropriate banking fees necessary to win analyst accolades.
