Wiz, while we were discussing the ability of LSI to go to the increasingly complex chips...and especially using existing technology.... I threw one at Tim Mak over on the DPMI Thread.. Couldn't we create a "Complexity Index"... My proposal to do so would be to get the total chip numbers, as a denominator, and get the world's total of photomasks as a numerator. Given that more complex chips require an increasing number of masks..voila! A complexity index? We would need data sources, however... This project tickles my fancy...but of course I AM getting old and senile <g> TSO
