You shouldn't put Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles down like that. They are both professionals, musical geniuses - even they can see that AMD needs help.<ggg> From what I understand, AMD just grabs a bunch of components and throws them in the air. Where they land provides the configuration for the initial prototype. A year or so down the line they will do it the right way if they can hire a few smart guys away from INTEL, hope they don't plan on using stock options as an incentive.

I still get a chuckle out of this post from a few days ago.

Every place I have been, they always do failure analysis first to prevent problems. So I guess AMD just kind of swags it and tries to pick up the pieces later. Why should the K7 be any different?
