E! Shane and everyone,

Tom "the Best there is" Kurlak is saying the Semi rally is over and the SOX could be down 100 points by the summer. News on CNBC but can't say it is accurate. If it is than look out below.

shane, all: this is a general and individual post. The general part is that I have been in the market for a new PC and naturally have been interested in getting one with DVD. Let me tell you folks that the response from even the big box makers may be summarized as "huh?" Might just as well be asking for automatic transmission. Well, okay, it's not that bad but for sure DVD has not hit the mainstream market and is not yet ready for prime time at least at the PC channel. I can't believe that LSI will derive any significant sales from this product until 2nd half of this calendar year at the earliest,
OTOH, maybe my foray into the market is skewed in some way. Do any of you folks have a PC with DVD? What are the details and what is your experience with it? I can tell you that PC World about two issues back had an article on DVD upgrade kits and left no doubt that only EE's should even consider what they described as "almost a heart lung transplant for your PC". Have to conclude this is not close to mass market but happy to learn otherwise. Thanks, Mike Doyle
