Todd, this is starting to sound like the E*Trade thread. Every time someone posts a bad experience, someone else feels they have to post a "never had a problem" report as if to say the other poster is just spreading negative lies to bash the stock (as if a negative post here has any effect).

The fact is, if you need a book in a hurry, AMZN is not the place to shop. If you feel that saying so is "ridiculous", open your mind to the possibility that AMZN may not concur the world, is not the ultimate solution for all book buying needs, is not perfect, and that you may have simply been lucky.

I'm just reporting what happenned to me when I
ordered from Amazon. I've ordered three times.
Apparently, (even though they said the book "usually
ships in two to three weeks") they had to check
with "warehouses" to see if the book actually was
available. It wasn't.
