Willy,

I love my Dish System...but I HATE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE PASSIONATELY.

I have a brand new two-dish system in Atlanta with two receivers..a 5000 and a 1000. It was an EchoNet installation. When we change channels on the 1000, it resets the switch and causes the 5000 to lose its signal for 5 secs. Thus if a channel surfer is watching the 1000, the 5000 watchers can't watch a thing. Its a nuissance. I called Echostar and they said it appears to be a voltage grounding problem and that Echonet needs to come back out. (This of course after wasting my time with their canned--change the remote address answer).

I called EchoNet to come back out. Because its within 90 days of the install they told me that their would be no charge. I have to be home from 8-12 on Monday the 9th. If I'm not there they will charge me $60. I asked her a simple question...If they don't show up, will I get $60. She did not have an answer but she had a real attitude on the phone. She also told me that if they have to remount the dish, they will charge me $60. What kind of a warranty is that???? A worthless one.

Charlie...Your company has MAJOR CUSTOMER RESPONSE PROBLEMS. BIGTIME.

Willy--What do I do my friend???

For those of you who do not know the history of my problems, please check out post number 580 on this thread. In April, I will have a web page devoted to improving Echostar by informing the investment community of their CS problems.

I'm not trying to diminish your stock...you guys are in this for the long haul. DISH will not survive with poor second level service.

Good luck to all.

Carter
