It's really amazing how trouble-free 18" systems
are overall. I've had DIRECT for four years and
DISH for over a year and have never had even one
problem. I understand that this is the norm.
Incredibly trouble-free operations. If you've
ever owned large (C-Band) dishes, you'd know that
they require regular, periodic tuning. I really
marvel at the 18" systems for this reason.
It sounds like the individual dealer/installer is
the problem in your case. Call Echostar and report
"Echonet". Your anger is understood.

All things considered, would you go back to cable? Do you not think that DirectTV and Primestar isn't having similar problems with contracted installers? As a shareholder, hearing about the problems is of value but I HATE YOUR WHINING PASSIONATELY. You sound like an old lady that doesn't have anything better to do than complain about something.

By the way, I am a DirectTV subscriber and have found their customer service to be lacking as well. At the right time, I'm switching to Dish Network! On BALANCE, I'll trade a few installation problems for a great product at a great price.
