Uh - you lost me now, I think you've agreed with me, so not sure what your "not so" refers to. As you point out above, the name change has nothing to do with a number change, only the number change would force an accounting. The name change is nothing, happens all the time. If they are issuing a new cusip, then you are correct. I only remember seeing one stock do that recently, they claimed they did it to get an accounting and rid themselves of shorts.

I keep seeing you guys print the word cusip. Am I crazy or is cusip supposed to be spelled CUSSIP?? As you all know I am a terrible speller, but I think there are two S's.

As far as the number on the stock cert, there is only one number and it is the same on all certificates of the same class. There are not multiple numbers printed on the certs for individuals or institutions. This I am sure of.
