a cusip number is a security identification number assigned to every stock certificate. The Committee on Uniform Securities Identification Procedures (CUSIP) was established by the American bankers association as a way to safeguard the security

I think you've agreed with me, so not sure what your "not so" refers to.

I think your confusion stems from mixing up the change Netmaster to Zulu-tek with the change NETZ to ZULU (or whatever). The latter is AFAIK tied into the cusip #. I don't think you can change ticker without changing cusip #.
