Yahoo's fundamental problem, as I see it, is this. If it is ever demonstrated that there is actual money to be made selling ads on the internet then Murdoch/Time-Warner/Disney-ABC/Infinity Broadcasting etc will move in and the competition will be fierce. Linking ads to information will probably not be very lucrative but linking ads to entertainment over the net may be and these other players know how to entertain large groups and make money doing so.
