To which you responded by dropping the subject like a hot potato(sp?)!

So please, let's cut the sanctimonious attitude toward the Duncan and others that dispute your interpretation of events. You seem quite capable of spinning your own fanciful opinions based on your faulty recollection of the facts. Your entire argument fell flat because it was based on a false assumption.

I repeat: I offered what was my own recollection of the matter. You disputed it. Fine. You may be right. Since Hart never really became a major political figure, I should think I'd have a hard time finding any documentation online, and Italian libraries are unlikely to be rich sources of this sort of information.

Note, however: I did not answer you saying you were a cretin, probably not even a high school graduate, and so on and so forth. Obviously Duncan is entitled to his opinions (though he seems to feel that because they're his, they're not opinion, but fact). What I object to is his responding to any kind of challenge or criticism with a childish personal attack.
