Partial response: Item 1. Teacher's salaries look better when you consider that in most places they only work 9 Months/Year ( more like 8 in our district which seems to have a holiday every week ). Bright folks aren't attracted to teaching because teachers gave been turned into grey little cogs in a gigantic, creaking, stinking bureaucratic monster. The unions like it like that and fight tooth and nail anything that threatens the status quo. Item 3. What the hell, I thought diversity was our STRENGTH
