All - Will tomorrow be a repeat of last June when INTC preannounce that they would not meet earnings and the NASDAQ gap down only to rally? Does anyone remember the details of that day( i.e how bad the numbers, analyst upgrades, etc...)?

Thanks.

We may see 72-73 in this stampede but from what I have read in their release it looks like an OEM channel inventory adjustment issue where CPQ, HWP and IBM are reducing their channel inventories to increase inventory turns so as to be more competitive with the likes of DELL etc. To me it does not seem to be an end user demand problem just a transition. If anyone follows 3Com you will understand.
CPQ is definitely coming in short this quarter and it shows. DELL looks fine and will buy it tomorrow.
