Michelle Re "I can replace the $5. "onboard computer" in my BMW with a dual-processor Merced as an even exchange. "

Can I get a ride to see how it goes after the swap? :)

Scovel's anlysis....

I just made notes from bloomberg interview with D. Scovel:
1) revenues are down by 10%
2) expenses are up by 3%
3) margins are down by 6%
4)expected earnings will be reduced from .92/share to .66 share
5) intel problems are from fighting enemy that did not exist yet (he probably reads amd
threads)
6) popularity of $1000 pcs
7) intel is in no danger of going out of business I loved that reassurance :-))
8) fair value between 70-80 but could go lower
9) at this point he is not downgrading it to "sell" yet but could after revision of data

Regards
-Albert

<soon I can replace the $5."onboard computer" in my BMW with a dual-processor Merced> Have you ever asked yourself why BMW
does not use any Intel CPU in the car?

And never will. Why? Because all so-called "Intel architecture"
is based on marketing vaporware in terms of performance and
convenience to program, starting from the battle between
the Motorola 68000 and the hardflop 8086. You guess what,
your car needs to run, not to reboot every 20 miles...
