Saw Charlie Rose's one hour interview of Gates last night.

Somewhat more pointed than the puff session he did with him last year, but still pretty softball.

Gates is very clever and a tremendously benign presence -- the perfect image for MSFT to present.

Most embarrassing was Charlie's referral to to MSFT's new blatant ripoff of a handheld as a "Palm Pilot".

A palm "device" corrected Bill.

Apple was only mentioned as an example of a 5 year lawsuit that MSFT beat.

Rose interviewed Andy Grove a few nights ago and AAPL/Motorola/IBM was conspicuously unmentioned.

*Would be very interested to see how much/if any of AAPL's quarterly revenues came at INTC's expense.*
