Ken, I also read the article in the WSJ. From what I understand Bell Atlantic does not have a direct connect feature. I believe their offering unlimited mobile to mobile for an ADDITIONAL $10 per month.

Anyone please correct me if this is wrong.

Ron

Ken,

I think Arnie already responded to the Bell Atlantic news (here or Yahoo!) Apparently, 1) Bell does not have GROUP mobile-to-mobile, only person-to-person, 2) I think they still bill to the minute, 3) users still have to pay roaming charges, 4) $10 additional per month for the service, 5) may be other differences. In the short run, investor perception will drive the stock price, regardless of the reality of the differences.

In the long run, there will be real competition for Nextel. Not a bad thing, but to be expected for any concept and implementation that is a money maker. Don't expect Nextel to take 100% of the market ... it doesn't have to, and the projections you have seen don't rest on that assumption.

Ken..
did you go out of all your Nextel..Or just your trading shares. This correction has taken longer than what I had thought. i think 30 was where the down trendline on the monthly chart was.
