Dear RT Trader Client Today is proving to be a real tough day. Huge trading volumes have added to our problems of pushing out more updates to you than ever. And many of you are getting upset, understandably so. On Monday, we went live on our own T1 circuit, in previous weeks we upgraded the performance of our equipment, and quite frankly we have been overwhelmed with new subscriptions. Our philosophy in providing the RT Trader product was to provide unlimited access to as many symbols as each of you wanted to monitor. This is turning out to be our Achilles heal, as we cannot anticipate our bandwidth requirements effectively. As users add more symbols to their pages, compounded with extremely busy markets, the number of required updates increase almost exponentially. We have ordered 2 additional T1 circuits for installation in early April, but we have to cope with the problem in the short term. We have decided to implement the following changes as quickly as we can. 1. Sometime next week, we will restrict each user to 150 symbols. Everyone will have the same restriction. You can continue to use the current version of RT Trader, as the change will be made at our end. When you log in to our servers, we will only update the first 150 symbols sent to us. If you have more than 150 symbols, then modify your pages to ensure that the symbols you want to monitor are included in the 150 range. 2. We will then offer two version of RT Trader. The basic service will offer a maximum of 150 symbols for the existing price of $30.00 per month. Those that wish to have more than 150 symbols, will subscribe for the premium service, which will cost $60.00 per month. This option will become available when the new circuits are installed in April. We will advise you of the procedures you will have to follow to subscribe to the premium service. In the meantime, if you can minimize on the number of symbols you watch, it will certainly help everyone. We appreciate that some of you are unhappy with the current situation. We will implement our changes as quickly as we can to make everybody happy. If any of you wish to cancel your service for March, then send us an email to quotes@naq.com by Sunday, March 8 and will refund you all charges for March.
