Intel.

Today is probably a good time to buy, too. Convenient.

S, re:<which company has made money in x86 recently> Try IDTI -- they (unlike Intel have beat analysts estimates for the last 2 quarters and their PE based on '98 estimates is 21.7 vs ???? for Intel.)

Then again, since Kumar just said that AMD yields are at 50% for their 0.25 micron process, there's no way AMD will not be profitable quickly. (Kumar's own numbers of 1000 wafers/week * 160 good chips/wafer * 13 weeks = 2M K6 (.25) in Q2. When you factor in that 0.25 wafer starts will ramp up to 3000 by the end of 2Q, and that some 0.35 chips will still be produced and sold in the 2nd quarter, the future looks bright for AMD.
