SUBJ: QP DLL's for Database Access

I have been using QP for a good while. I am now trying to use the DLL to write some of my own code with the project to generate a point and figure charting program off the data. I am running into the function call to Open_Files blowing up on me. I have an email into QP for some help, but does anyone else out there use the DLL's for writing their own code? I'd like to build a circle of folks to share war stories if there are more of us out there.

Ken,

Hang in there! Q+ IS a somewhat quirky program to get running smoothly, and I've installed LOTS of software. But, it's worth the trouble. I switched from TC2000, and my only complaint is that Q+ data is available 2 hours later than TC2000 is.

Read back in this thread, starting around post 3500. Someone else was having trouble getting started with downloads and there were some good posts on fixing up the problems.

Whoo, I'm confused by the action, so I just picked a post
to respond to, BUT

Hang in there, folks. QPlus has one of the best data
download values around. You're not likely to do better.

Read back on this thread for balm to soothe download
frustrations, etc. You may not get your problems solved,
but if you don't, we're here to help.

Even I have come to terms, after anguish, as long term
readers of this thread can report. And don't ANYONE
forget NT hates me. But you can overcome this and
you will be glad if you take the effort ...

Best of luck

PS. On behalf of Brooke, who is, I think, in Wales
at the moment, I advise you not to become overly involved
in these things. Life is not as immediately demanding
as you might imagine. Nor data, nor downloads. Nor Dasher,
nor Dancer, nor Donner or Blitzen ...
