Yes an iceberg has been hit. I think of it as a sledride that is just beginning. The industry-wide move to BTO, internet sales, and quicker turn-arounds has been happening for some time now. Does anyone really believe that it would all-of-a-sudden cause constipation at Intel. No, we are seeing the first signs of slowing demand. That and a lowering of the average selling price and stabilizing component prices will further hurt DELL, which in case people haven't noticed has been slowing considerably in its rate of earnings growth.(Check out sequential growth last 2 years vs. this year.) Yet at the START of this quarter the P/E is at an all time high. What a joke for a company that is de-accelerating and extremely vulnerable to just the slow down in US demand that the intel warning suggests. Just how long can a change in fundamentals be ignored? How about a contest to guess when DELL makes its earning warning?

RJ, Just out of the gate on what will likely be a big downhill run!
