Luis,
I may have come down a bit hard on the current board as a reaction to some of the people on the Yahoo thread who were praising the board as saviors and castigating HealthMed and Katz. Frankly I think there is enough blame to go around for all. katz did indeed appoint these guys and his tenure has been marked by some bizarre behavior. I would much prefer him to stick to the lab. But I also find it hard to praise the board when they made absolutely no effort to communicate anything to the shareholders regarding Healthmed one way or the other. I also believe they responded very slowly. Yes they need time to become familiar with the issues but close to two months before they show any signs of getting started is a bit much. HealthMed's behaviour has also been to secretive for my taste.
I remain very positive about the science of Lidakol. But the more I learn about the company the lest excited I am about the businessmen associated with this, and that includes both Katz and the board. I am not sure whether I would invest if I learned the business side of Lidak before the science.

I also strongly favor companies where management has a significant stake in the equity so that their interests are aligned with ours. It does bother me that I own more stock than any board member other than Katz.
