I'm confused....

Why on Earth would Placer Dome want to buy this scam? And how do you figure that they are buying the stock now?

It's been my experience that the simplest explanations are usually the correct ones. The president of Crystallex has a known history of stock fraud. The company has no valuable assets of any kind. Furthermore; Asensio's report on the stock promotion scheme makes perfect sense while the Crystallex claims to these Venezualan mines smack of desperate promotion tactics.

Bill W, there are terms in the Crystallex poison pill which mean that buying them out is not an option (directors keep control if they don't like the company buying 20% or more). You must know this. I know this and only started looking at the stock yesterday (and could NOT find shares to short).
Placer Dome cannot step in. I read this not as something designed to help stockholders at all but to ensure that the argument "if PDG thought they would lose they would have bought them out by now" could not be used.
I came at this with a completely open mind (I'm one of the few who made a lot of money from IPM which you rightly don't like) and I was trying to short within 2 hours.
