Paul, What is the heat dissipation of the M2 at 266 MHz? What's the heat dissipation of Intel 64bit 600 MHz chips compared to Alpha? To compare apples with apples, here is a link to IBM site: chips.ibm.com which shows: Cyrix M2 PR-233 20 Watts AMD K6-233 28 Watts Intel PII-233 35 Watts Personally, I don't care much about the heat dissipation in desktops, unless it's so excessive that you have to redesign a system around it. BTW, what's the heat dissipation of the 333 MHz Deschutes? Joe
