What do you guys think the chances of Vivus hitting 12.50 on Mar.20 expiration. I'm trying to time another round of CC's and would like your opinions. Thanks in advance. M.H.

TA <<BigK I am confused ( by your DPGuerney post ). are you suggesting that we follow DP and acknowledge a mistake, dump Vivus and flee.Right? If so, did you do that. If you haven't then what is the point of posting DP. You are asking me if I am still long. Yes I am, however with a smaller position, being the trader that I am. I've sold the higher priced shares I bought at ~ 12, 13 and 14 earlier on. Still holding on $10.2 priced shares . How about you: are you going with DP and if not why not?>>

I think DPGuerney made several perceptive points concerning information placed on stock boards that will be useful to all VVUSers and readers of stock boards.

Personally, my strategy is to sell winning stocks when they reach my profit goals and sell losing stocks when I feel the company's fundamentals have changed. I have never shorted a stock ...ever.

The basic fundamentals of VVUS have not changed since my VVUS purchase in December, 1997 @10. But, I am no longer long VVUS.... My VVUS profit goals were reached at the end of January (less than two months after my initial purchase).

What is my best guess on the future of VVUS and MUSE?..

TA, I agree with several of your points...(really!!):

-Emotion and perception move stock prices
-The media does have an impact on perceptions and emotions
-Viagra will not be used in 100% of all ED patients
-MUSE will be used in different patient types than Viagra
-MUSE will be used in combination with Viagra
-The launch of Viagra will expand the ED market
-The true efficacy, safety and role of pharmaceutical products are never really known until they are used in millions of patients throughout the world.

Here is where we disagree:

-MUSE's use will always be limited to some degree due to its administration
- I do not have confidence in VVUS' management and marketing
- I have confidence in PFE's management and marketing
- Until the FDA review is complete, I am have made the assumption that Viagra will be very effective and safe when used by millions of patients throughout the world.
-I am always concerned about a company that is dependent on one product.

Bottom line; I always liked the MUSE product concept but decided not to get greedy before the ED market changed.

I wish you and all VVUSers much success in the future!
