KEN G's post (#3535) is absolutely correct.

Ken referenced an unnamed "Bell Company" that replaced NN with Cisco equipment.

It is public information that USWest is this "Bell Company" and that they will replace 36170's with Cisco BPX switches. Refer to joint announcements between USWest and Cisco on or about January 28th.

Like KEN G, I too think that NN is "faced with many challanges"...at least in the US Market. Yes, NN had early market acceptance in the ATM WAN market and this has lead to existing market share leadership. However, now that customer needs and technology is evolving, I'm not seeing evidence that NN is winning this current phase of infrastructure build-out. Could it be that the long testing process that the Baby Bells and Telcos have under taken, (as referenced by Tuncia) show evidence that vendors other than NN are better suited to meet the Baby Bells and Telco's needs?
