I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but on CNNFN website,
CompUSA posted a warning of "slump" of PC sales, what else is new.
I guess this makes Addi a genius for predicting a March tech
sell-off. Only if he could predict BEGINNING of March rather than
Middle-late march, many of us will make more money. Guys, listen
to Addi now.

Addi, you know that this demonstrates why Bill Gates is so desperate to control the internet and is trying to do it through the Windows OS. He is probably sweating as the same theory about hardware and the un-needed Pentium applies to software and the un-needed Windows. All people need is something that makes the computer work, not something that does everything except wash the dishes.

Perhaps my analysis of Microsofts dominance of the PC was unfounded, but I still say that Gates will use every means, fair or foul, to force PC makers not to carry any competitive systems. This includes Java.

[MS JAVA BECOMES A REALITY] Addi, I just heard on CNBC (11 AM EST) that Microsoft has just announced that it will be unveiling next week a new version of Java specifically for windows machines. According to the report it will involve alterations of key libraries. Have you heard this? I guess lawsuits be damned. As much as I would like to invest in MS, this type of thing just repels me. Please explain to me how to view this with greater wisdom and recognize that only money is important. Twister, I know you are smiling.

Hoping the news report was wrong, or I misunderstood. I haven't seen a URL for this yet. Supposed to be in the Mercury news.
