Israel paper calls Dell "worlds largest computer company" - article: Message 3616368 the importance of this article lies in the introduction of xDSL technology into Dell's computer line. xDSL, as you know, allows you to access the internet and transfer data up to 30 times faster than the currently fastest modem available. Orckit and others mentioned make xDSL products which are able to transmit data over regular telephone lines faster than current modem technology. Texas Instruments believes the xDSL world market will jump from the current $3 billion to $50 billion by the year 2010, if not sooner.
