Its for your own good! You might have for once made money going long on any stock at the open and that would have been a terrible thing to do..

I have had similar troubles getting on this morning, sent them e-mail waiting for response.
I really have trouble understanding their accounting methods, it almost seems they are trying to be evasive on purpose. I trade in stocks and options and although I have enough money in my account they have me margining about 1/2 of my transactions.
They tell me I have a negative cash balance of less than $ 1000.00 and I've sold 2 stocks 4 days ago and my balance remains negative. I'm tempted to sell off all my positions just to get a handle on my bottom line. I know what I should have given my deposits through the year and my gains and losses but my account balance sheet does't show that balance. Schwab was a little difficult with thier accounting methods but I could figure bottom line. If anyone has similar experiences please respond. Frustrated......
