I would not even try to find out more about such rumors, as they are absurd. If any analyst believed the rumor, do you think the stock would be languishing here? When takeover rumors actually do circulate, stock prices respond, as did Circus Circus. What would CSCO want in DSC? CSCO buys small, innovative companies, and DSC fits neither of these characteristics. Who would want to buy a company whose head makes $6 million a year and is a poor performer compared to his industry peers.

I remember reading somewhere on these boards that the two key signs of desperation are people talking about buyout rumors and about book value (we will probably start hearing about the latter as we sink to the mid-teens).
