question on pre earnings announcements.......

did congress pass some sort of legislation that mandates public companies warn of disappointing earnings?

if so then is it safe to assume that every company that anounces the last legal day, april 30?, will met earnings expectations

therefore buy those stocks?

cant be that easy.....what am i missing

That's what I've been thinking,, notice how there's pressure for 2 or 3 days, and then relief,,the stock market seems to ignore the bonds, which is unusual, smells of distribution to me..
