I can't believe I am doing this, but pastramiman in the Yahoo thread has actually posted something intelligent. See below:

I believe a fair price for the A-block NY PMSA license could be computed as follows:

C = (B x (1150/150)) - A, where

A = Price of A-block BTA license (excluding NY PMSA)
B = Price of B-block BTA license
C = Fair price of A-block PMSA

Now, if you plug in the results from round #45, A=$23,751,200 and B=$16,875,000, then C=$105,623,800.

IF the NY PMSA license was available in the auction today, would WNP, Winstar or Nextband be willing to bid that much or more for that license? I truly do not know... but it's quite possible.
