EP is really screwing this thing up ! I thought he was a better business man than that ! I too, hope DEC doesn't pre-announce ! We are in for it if so ! We really need some good news out of the DEC acquisition !

I hope you are wrong about CPQ starting a price war. They expect to break even this quarter (that is $0.00 per share). Please explain how they win if they start a price war. Of course, they must lower prices to reduce their inventory which, in the PC business, rapidly loses value. Which, incidentally, is why they are in trouble. I think it is going to take Compaq 6 months to a year to get their act together. Having to swallow DEC at the same time won't help. IMHO, when Compaq shows they can reduce inventory without reducing prices, then it's time to buy CPQ.
