>>>I have seen several references to AT&T, Suitor? partner? new contract?

Well, CheckFree doesn't need a suitor or any more partner's, but a new contract would be nice. If any rumors about CheckFree and AT&T that turn out to be true, it will most likely be a Bill Pay/Presentment contract.IMO

>>>These last two posts tonite have me asking - What is the connection here guys? Suitor? partner? new contract? What gives?

I can't see any.......AT&T has a contract with Checkfree going back to June of 1995...for a branded service called AT&T Checkfree. But I've never heard of it, have you?

This is the only history on it and it's for what looks to be a failed service back in 1995 when Checkfree was marketing directly.

att.com

Now how one might take what looks to be a failed attempt a distribution of this service.....Is a hard one for me. CheckFree has been most successful letting the Banks do the Marketing. Why like some suggested they would turn back on a failed distribution is beyond me. The only thing which makes sense to me is a bill presentment deal. Or like that article said yesterday they were working with a Biller for online invoice presentment.....which they would tell us all about in 30 to 45 days. But overall I'm not giving it any weight.....just got me wonderng.

Doesn't really matter they said in the last quarters press that they would SOON announce the full market launch....with some of the largest billers in the world. Whatever the heck SOON means......
