Cool report, Micheal ...

Simple facts such as these are worth 10,000 opinions.

Also has the value of being a repeatable experiment.

Great going ... the dust was a nice touch.

Michael, I went to our CompUsa yesterday and saw the SparQ display. I have heard SparQ was a little on the flimsy side, but I was surprised to see just how rinky-dink it is. On the cart door, there is a spring-loaded strap that ends in a buckle on the outside. The drive must catch the tiny plastic buckle and pull to open the cart. Reminded me of starting a lawnmower. There is no real seal on the door. I could see about 1-2 millimeter gap all the way across the cart when the door is closed. Man are these things going to be returned. The dust will get in and destroy the R/W head. The disks, being metal, will probably last longer than the drive.

And this is the technology basket SYQT is putting all their eggs into.

They still had the pallet of them in the floor area, and my initials were still written in the dust on one of them.

Very cool.... straight out of a spy novel (though if you were a spy you'd write someone else's initials ;).

If SparQs are moving, then every day's display represents new product. By contrast, if the old models are still sitting there, then it's just that 25 or 50 boxes. My point is that the excess old inventory at least isn't building up. Sure, it would be better to sell them, but a static problem is better than a growing one.

What do you believe to be the first Sparq drives identification number will be. How do you think SYQT will do 2Q, 3Q, 4Q this year with revenues, Sparq Units and Gross margins. Will you be attending the Syqt annual conf this week? Would like to speak with those attending prior to meeting.

Sincerely,
Ping
