Tom..as I understand it, there will be zero earnings reported for the first quarter. I believe that is how CNBC was reporting it, too. Stephen

From watching Moneyline last nite, Lou said flat earnings Y-O-Y. I cannot see the no earnings situation - but could be wrong. Anybody else out there on this...

Thomas: Good question.

Here is what CPQ said and I paraphrase: Sales will be similar to Q1 97 and earnings will be 'break-even'and usually 'break-even' means earnings equals expenditures leaving the company 'zilch' for profit. I don't know what is really meant by CPQ when they say 'break-even',I am going assume zero profit for Q1 until the company further clarifies what they meant by it.
