Let me take you off the newbie hook, here. Here's the scoop with Rocky. All of the below is just my own opinion and observations.

Rocky is being sarcastic when he makes statements that are wildly optimistic about IOM. He believes that the most extreme bulls on this thread represent the typical Iomega investor, and he is mocking them.

Rocky is actually quite bearish on IOM. He invariably interprets all news related to Iomega in a negative light. In fact, he believes negative arguments about IOM even when they are mutually contradictory.

For example, Rocky says that there will never be a market for Clik! for several reasons, such that no mechanical data storage device can ever have low enough power requirements or be durable enough for use in portable devices.

Amazingly, at the same time, he believes that other companies will jump into the mechanical data storage market and blow Iomega away!

Rocky also believes that demand for Zip drives and disks is drying up like an unwatered lawn, but he also tells us that many large companies will undoubtedly be jumping into the Zip disk manufacturing business, which will drive prices down and ruin Iomega's profit margins. It is hard to understand why these companies would be so eager to jump into a dwindling market. I guess you have to be as smart as Rocky to get it.

Rocky is here on this thread, according to him, to prevent newer participants like you from making the dangerous mistake of buying IOM. I'm not sure why he thinks he's going to be able to convince anyone, considering that he has no real credibility, but at least his heart's in the right place.

In the meantime, 18, most of the bulls on this thread agree that IOM is very much a "broken" stock right now, and that it will take probably six months to recover from the current malaise.
