Valueman and all,

Go check out Globalstar's web site.

Everything about the last launch. Photos, movies, etc. Quite cool. Did anybody recognize Mr. Adrenaline in the photos? Just kidding! Or may be he is really in there!

I want to revisit ViaSat's "Satellite Local Loop" concept. VSAT had about $60 million in revenues in the last year. A contract to supply a GEO based sat system would easily DOUBLE those revenues(which makes one think it might be easier to buy the whole company). Keep in mind that they have a backlog equal to a year's revenues right now. The potential for this type of phone service is incredible. I am working out all the details and will keep you posted. One sat would provide 500,000 circuits, so a number of sats would be needed to cover all of China, or India, or Russia. I want to know exactly how much equipment/software would be sold by VSAT with each sat. The numbers truly boggle the mind. I have not been so excited by a company since...ummmmmm...well, LORAL!
