I don't think that CPQ can buy back shares during this DEC merger. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Stephen

Peacelover--
I don't own any Compaq stock. Don't really have any desire to. That being said, realize that Compaq's pre-warning did not come out in a vacuum.

It came out one day after Intel's pre-warning... I think the two together will signal the market in general to abandon the tech stocks for a while, hence I am looking for CPQ in the teens and INTC below 70 on Monday.

Dell? Will prolly go up again. That balloon is still being filled before it bursts.

Hey, if I am wrong, I'm wrong. I just make guesses because it's fun.
Remember, though, that the market has been savaging companies who simply did not increase profits as fast as expected. Now you have Intel and Compaq not only growing, but shrinking? Horrors!

If you own Compaq, good luck! I hope I am wrong.

Cheers!
Rick
