CPQ's profits warnings is not just a one quarter problem as boxmakers are heading in the direction of low price computers. Forget sub $1000 PCs, here come the sub $800 boxes in about a month. Time to really short DELL?

I have friends at work who are putting everything they make
on high flyers like AMZN YHOO. These are fairly smart people
with bunch of college degrees.

I stopped telling them they are insane 15-20 points ago.

They also know that you should never sell into a panic because
the market always comes back up. (they learned that last October)

They also know to buy more on the dips. (actually they laugh
at the fools who get out at low prices.) Anything 10 points
less than a stock's all time high is a dip for them.

And you know what, they have been right for so long that I
am wondering what the real definition of right or wrong is.

You keep telling people 2+2=4 and they claim it is 3 and the
rest of the freaking world agrees with them. What if by the
year 2000 AMZN trades at $1000 with 0 earnings.

I do not think we will ever see a 6-7% correction anymore
because people learned from last October. Something big has
to happen for people to understand markets do not always
go up. I can not think of anything.

I have no short positions on the mentioned stocks. I will
feel much comfortable shorting them at half of their current
price.
