Paul, do you remember what happened to PC sales a few months prior to Windows 95 coming out? I wonder if this slowdown isn't related to windows 98. If I were a company like Compaq I would not want any machines on the shelf when the market shifted to Windows 98. They may have learned their lesson with windows 95 and are scaling back inventories in anticipation of it. The reports I have read do not mention voice activation with Windows 98. Even if it is simplistic, if Microsoft puts voice activation into the OS it could really boost the future needs of processor speed. Just some musings on this quiet Saturday night. Michael
