Steve: I don't find it scary. It's great! The more competition the better! Certainly anyone considering opening an account with any of these firms should do their due diligence. I guess that is what this thread provides to a VERY limited extent. Personally I guess that is why I went with A.B. Watley...they been around more than 12 months!!!

The landscape of remote trading continues to evolve leaving some players in the dust and creating new opportunities for others. It's incredible to me how within 6 months we have seen datafeed costs offered from some of these firms go from $300/month to $0/month!

As the few survivors emerge in this FINAL FRONTIER things will only become better and better for the remote trader. Should be interesting.

Steve,

Noticed on your thread that you also felt that 29/30 (96-97%) fail in day trading. Is this based on any statistics or just gut feel? I sense the success rate is much higher for those who truly learn the market and develop discipline. I've seen people show up and not really know what they were doing and wash out after a few months. Also you seem convinced a major correction or bear market will wipe out many day trading firms. Certainly some will not survive. But surely you recognize that serious traders play the short side as well as the long side. Thus, a bear market can present as much opportunity as a bull market. All the day trader wants is the intra-day volatility. Money can be made in any market.
