Humbly report, Sergio, regarding "body shops" and "tool shops".

The y2k and Euro program code remediation can be accomplished by manually finding/fixing/testing the code, and/or by using tools that automate parts of this process.

Companies that primarily rely on large numbers of programers to manually do the work are called "body shops."

Companies that primarily rely on (or sell) one tool or another to partially automate the process are called "tool shops."

Up to now, "body shops" have done extremely well, while "tool shops" have disappointed.

I believe that as the time frame for both the y2k and Euro deadlines shrinks, all quality shops - body and tool - working on these problems will benefit.

Regarding FBNA, here is the thread, #subject-17449 , which should explain everything. ;-)
