Amber, PSFT has the best Human Resource management software on the market. Alot of companies may have SAP across many functions and have PSFT for HR.

Amber .. PSFT question is OK, but, hey it's the weekend

and we sometimes get a few diversions in here. I think it's great to see some discussions and info for Americans on Roth's.

I guess someone else gave you the answer you need. I don't think you are likely to see PSFT ERP with SAP HR!!! BTW, my current client has PSFT for HR/Pay and SAP for ERP.

PS .. I know you weren't complaining and I just wanted to mention that it's nice to see intelligent weekend discussions even if they don't mean much to me.

The following is reply to your question from a friend of mine who is in field. Again its only his opinion John

Hi John,
How are you doing? On the PeopleSoft ?....Yes, many organizations
have installed more than one ERP package, the main driver is getting
best of breed and not blocking the connectivity kick between back
office ops and front office/manufacturing/distribution ops...
...PeopleSoft is very good in the Financials and HR, and not yet so
good in the other components (Manuf, sales, distribution...)....if
implemented with good forethought 2 ERP's are not a major problem for
most orgs, but you need to be careful......

Most ERP's (BaaN, SAP, Oracle, QAD..) today are buying/building
expanded functionality to better fit the entire enterprise model and
support the org with 1 package, but the ERP software is still evolving
and maturing.......As an FYI, all the major ERP products are pretty
much offering the same functionality with the caveat that this is a
still evolving industry and some parts of products are stronger than
others.....Another interesting trend in the ERP world is the expansion
of the product suites toward sales force automation (SFA), customer
relationship mgmt (CRM) and customer info systems (CIS)....these 3
areas have some definite overlap, but still are distinct.....

I hope this helps.....talk to you later.....
