I think they are right....or at least it made it a much less attractive strategy. I forget.

Even worse on this INTC thing is that CUBE's CEO is formerly from INTC. So do you really think he's even talked to people at AMD or NSM about ANY chip deal to go along side their Pentium copies? I'd bet, "NO FRICKEN WAY".

Shorting against the box is not illegal, however, unless you follow some cumbersome rules this technique no longer defers tax on the gain on your long position. In other words in most cases you will trigger the gain in your long position the minute you go short against the box
