Craig, After more thought on the matter, I tend to agree with you that the Gigamux is probably not deployed in the Brooks network, but that Osicom tried to make whatever progress they had made look as good as possible. As I've said before, management may be a little shifty sometimes. I read your article on the MuxMaster. It only mentioned a couple of banks though. I don't perceive a couple of banks as a big deal, do you? I think that the first company to sell a multi-million dollar order to a major fiberoptic network company will be the first one to truly enter the market. Has anyone done this? If so, I'd truly like to know. Maybe you're right though that the market isn't ready for the product though if no one has sold product to a Brooks type customer. We will soon see...So they are admitting that their name carries no weight in the industry and they have to resort to selling it through someone else? CIEN didn't have problem marketing to their first customers Sprint and Worldcom. Yes, I'm admitting this. Their name has been trashed recently.FOR THE LAST TIME IT IS NOT! Who cares if it is? The short-haul market is just finally starting to develop. If it's so hot how come FIBR isn't announcing huge orders with insatiable demand? I seem to remember seeing a Ciena post of yours where you touted the short-haul market as an opportunity for Ciena in the near-term future. Should I see if I can dig it up for you to look at? Obviously even if it is a big market, Brooks and other companies aren't going to shell out millions without serious testing.I suppose so. Precisely why they sounded foolish for not telling anyone who it was. You can either agree with me that there is no real competitor for Osicom and they're stupid for having a stealth alliance, or you can state that it's not so bad of an idea if there are real competitors. Pick one, not both.Yeah right. Just like FIBR's products are better than A$ND, COMS, C$CO, CS, BAY, MOT, LU, CIEN, HWP, etc. Obviously the some people think so given the number of awards their products have received in the past. You always try to combat my brand name theory. Do you think that Marketing is a foolish subject? You don't want to see the truth. You may be right. I think you may be in the same boat though. Why do you think that is? Why would companies buy inferior products rather than do business with Osicom? Why would any purchaser want to explain to their boss why they're purchasing from Osicom rather than Cisco unless it's for a good reason like major quality advantage or price break. I keep coming back to this. Grant
