To all, read the following (today) about S&P PEs. Save the page [File and then Save as] for your future reference.

To all, before I begin to show-up less and less on SI, some portfolio notes. As I did in August, I have done some hit and run trades in February and March, so far with some good luck. I have all my bearish sentiments in tact. So are my April cisco and IBM puts which are beginning to show some life. The other puts I have are of March OEXs and VTSS and KO. As I said earlier, I was completely out of MOT puts before the big plunge to 53. I made good money on MOT puts only to lose more on cisco puts (so far on paper only - I am hopeful.)

I am currently long ATHM (a big chunk) and GENZL. I also have small positions in TLK and LGND. Most likely I will open some May or June OEX put positions tomorrow.

BTW, through 10-Q today cisco warned about a slowdown and possible 'material adverse impact' on their earnings due to Asian crisis. Duh, thus far they kept on dismissing Asian crisis as non event for them as they get only about 10% of the revenue from the region. I am glad they realized that some of their American and European customers can be exposed to Asia to a greater extent and hence that will effect them. I feel smarter already! -g- I would rather buy a useless Chrysler car from a used car salesman for a premium over bluebook value than buy cisco stock at these levels based on John Chambers touty statements.
