Please explain or provide more information on: ... Lamda fell down since they provided poor service (hey what was a day or two of downtime) ... Laser replacement cost is 50K$/3mos Is first statement in reference to the Lambda Physik DUV laser? And if so, was it in connection with pre-production testing, or what? Does second statement mean that Cymer's 260 DUV lasers now in fabs will produce $50K X 260 = $13 million every three months in replacement parts revenue? Tulvio

Tech stocks stunk up the place today.

No declines worth buying on, but gradual erosion everywhere - leading me to take my 2 point profit in Ascend, my only holding. It looks like cash for a while.

How long do we have to wait for a change in sentiment? 2 weeks? Earnings warnings should almost be over.

RE:New higher power 248 laser is 2x price but only 20% more stepper thruput(because of overhead) so customers think new price is unfair.

2X, that does seem a little steep. This is something a monopoly would do. <G>

But seriously, hope they don't upset their customers the way Intel or Microsoft does.

Are you certain of this 2X price for Orion? Are you certain of the $50k/laser every 3 months as a service revenue stream?

If you answer this last question yes, I'll sell other long positions to buy more Cymer.
